How quickly can I get pregnant after a contraceptive injection?

In most cases, fertility starts to return after 13 weeks from the last dose of injection. However, in some cases, fertility can take a while to return after using the contraceptive injection and in rare cases it can take you up to a year to become fertile again.
 
If this is an issue for you, consider using other forms of long acting contraceptives such as the implant or the intrauterine device, which stop working almost immediately after they are removed.
