My vaginal ring fell out. Should I take a morning after pill?

If the ring has been out for less than 3 hours, rinse it with warm water and re-insert it as soon as possible. You are still protected against pregnancy and you do not need to take additional precautions.
 
If the ring has been out for more than 3 hours, your protection against pregnancy may be reduced, and if you had sex in the previous seven days you should consider using a morning after pill.
 
If you use the morning after pills Levonelle or Escapelle, reinsert a vaginal ring within twelve hours. If you use the morning after pill ellaOne, wait five days before reinserting a vaginal ring. After reinserting a vaginal ring, use condoms for the next seven days.
