Shat should I do if a condom bursts, tears, or falls off?

If there is a chance that semen could have come into direct contact with you or your partner, consider doing the following:

- If you can get pregnant and are not using other methods of contraception, consider taking a morning after pill as soon as possible.

- If there is any chance of a sexually transmitted infection, you should get tested. Speak to your doctor or attend GUM clinic at Mater Dei Hospital for assistance. Ideally both partners should get tested together.

If condom accidents happen on a regular basis and you do not wish to become pregnant, consider using other more reliable methods of contraception such as the pill, an IUD, or an implant.
