What should I do with leftover Misoprostol?
After an abortion with pills, you are may have some Misoprostol tablets left over. This is because most abortion pill kits will have 8 or 12 Misoprostol 200mcg tablets, whereas most abortions are successful after only 4 or 6 Misoprostol 200mcg tablets.
Any leftover Misoprostol should be disposed of. Keep in mind that if there is an investigation into the abortion, any leftover Misoprostol, as well as any packaging, receipts, or email communication, could be used as evidence against you if they are not discarded or deleted.
Do not give the leftover Misoprostol to anyone else for their own abortion. Not only is this illegal, but 2 or 4 tablets of Misoprostol without Mifepristone are unlikely to successfully end a pregnancy on their own.
