What types of contraceptive injection exist?

Depo-Provera is the most commonly used contraceptive injection in Malta. It contains medroxyprogesterone and lasts for 13 weeks. After 13 weeks you could either take another dose or change to another contraceptive method.
 
Sayana Press is a newer form of Depo-Provera that can be self-administered by the woman herself. It is also available in Malta.
 
Noriserat contains norethisterone and lasts for 8 weeks. It is not widely used in Malta.
